Overall Objectives of Job:
This role leads technology delivery in either classic project management mode or agile servant-leadership mode, depending on context. The role owns outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and benefits, while also coaching teams in Agile practices to achieve predictable flow, quality, and adoption. It partners with product, engineering, security, data, and operations to deliver business value in regulated, cloud-centric environments.
Operating modes and primary responsibilities
- Core (applies in both modes)
- Align delivery to business outcomes and non-functional requirements (security, reliability, performance).
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure governance and compliance (stage gates, audit evidence, change control).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors; drive the delivery
- Track and report delivery health with clear metrics and narrative.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders and manage communication including business stakeholders
- Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables Sponsors / Service Owners / Service Managers and stakeholders have visibility and sufficient information to make the required decisions
- Run or attend (as appropriate) Project Boards or Steering Groups or other Governance meetings. Produce agreed levels of Portfolio reporting on all projects being delivered
- Foster psychological safety, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence and collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Ensure that critical priority incidents are dealt with on priority and SLA’s are adhered to
- Project Manager
- Define scope, objectives, success criteria, and detailed plans (WBS, schedule, resource plan).
- Baseline and manage scope, schedule, budget; run change control and steering committees.
- Manage contracts, SOWs, and vendor performance; track costs, invoices, and forecasts.
- Orchestrate test strategy, UAT, release governance, contingency and rollback plans.
- Senior Scrum Master mode (when discovery/iteration and team agility are paramount)
- Coach Product Owner on backlog health, prioritization, and outcome-focused slicing.
- Facilitate Scrum/Kanban events; optimize flow, WIP limits, and throughput.
- Drive agile metrics, and leverage them for improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure secure SDLC practices; coordinate with InfoSec, Architecture, and Compliance.
- Plan and execute testing, performance, security reviews, and DR where applicable.
- Drive delivery of IT services
- Drive change management, training, communications, and adoption metrics.
- Lead post-implementation reviews; capture lessons learned and realize benefits.
Qualification, Experience, Technical and Functional Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Business or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years delivering IT initiatives; proven experience as both Project Manager and Scrum Master.
- Certifications preferred: PMP or PRINCE2; Scrum Master (PSM II/CSM), PMI-ACP or SAFe (SSM/RTE) is a plus; ITIL desirable.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex application, integration, cloud, projects in medium-to-large organizations; regulated industry experience is a plus.
Skills and tools
- Planning and tracking: Jira/Confluence, MS Project, Service Now.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, release management, and DevOps/SRE practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure), modern application architectures (microservices, event-driven), and DevOps.
- Experience in a software development environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with AI exposure.
