The Regional Manager India/Asia Pacific at Allianz Services, India Branch reports directly to the Head of India Branch, Allianz Services. This position will be responsible for leading the organization's audit function , supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive audit strategy that aligns with the company's objectives. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of audit activities globally, identifying key risks, and providing actionable insights to senior management and the audit committee. Additionally, this role manages and develops a team of auditors within India, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in audit practices. It also involves stakeholder management.
You will
- Strategic Leadership: Proactively support to develop and implement the global audit strategy in alignment with the organization's overall objectives and Group Audit’s strategy, driving effective risk management and compliance.
- Audit Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of audit activities, ensuring audits are conducted effectively and efficiently, and that findings are communicated clearly to stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment: Lead the identification and assessment of key risks across the organization, ensuring that audit activities are focused on areas of highest risk and that management action plans are effective to mitigate these risks.
- Follow up: Oversee that audit findings are effectively addressed so that the identified risks are mitigated and regularly report on the status of management responsiveness to stakeholders.
- Technology Management and Digital Transformation: In close collaboration with Group Audit, leverage advanced audit technologies, including data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, to enhance audit processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of audit activities. Drive the adoption of digital tools and platforms within the audit function to streamline processes, improve data accessibility, and facilitate real-time reporting and insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, Group Audit, and other key stakeholders, providing value-adding insights and recommendations to support decision-making and enhance organizational governance.
- Team Management and Development: Manage and develop a team of auditors within India, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring the team has the skills and resources needed to perform effectively.
- Collaboration: Work in partnership with other functions, such as Compliance, Risk Management, and Legal, to allow a coordinated approach to risk management.
Your skills
- Professional degree in Auditing and Accounting or Finance, or a related field. Professional certification in internal auditing (e.g., CA, CIA, CISA) is an advantage.
- Extensive operational experience in audit, risk management, or compliance, with a minimum of 12-15 years in progressively responsible roles within a global organization.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in a leading position in Internal Audit, managing diverse teams across multiple locations.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to audit practices, particularly in the financial services sector.
- Auditing experience in IT domains will be added advantage.
- Proficiency in using advanced audit management software, data analytics and AI tools to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency is an advantage .
- Strong ethical standards: Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional integrity and ethical conduct.
- Adaptability and resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment of a start-up and effectively manage competing priorities.
