Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Coordination:
    • Plan the release of project deliverables and manage the release life cycle.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on plans, timelines, and requirements.
    • Collaborate with teams to create and maintain release schedules, including dependencies and resource availability.
  2. Agile Practices and Facilitation:
    • Act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).
    • Facilitate ART events such as Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
    • Promote Agile principles and practices across teams to ensure continuous improvement.
  3. Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify risks that could delay releases and proactively manage them to ensure scope, schedule, and quality are maintained.
    • Track progress, resolve issues, and work to improve release processes.
  4. Readiness and Deployment:
    • Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews post-release.
    • Ensure releases are planned and executed according to requirements, timelines, and budgets.
    • Oversee Go-Live activities and ensure successful deployment of software.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Sync with release managers and other stakeholders across IT departments.
    • Communicate challenges, progress, and updates to relevant teams and governance bodies.
    • Maintain documentation related to release procedures, dependencies, and notifications.
  6. Automation and Tools:
    • Collaborate with development teams to build and enhance automation tools for software development and deployment.
    • Ensure teams are trained on required tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct retrospectives to identify challenges and areas for improvement within the Agile Release Train.
    • Drive the adoption of Agile-at-scale practices and DevOps methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in Agile methods and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of product ecosystems, processes, and team dynamics.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies in a complex environment.
  • AI exposure is a plus
