SAP ABAP/SQL/HANA SQL(CDS/AMDP/Calc Views/Table functions

You Will =>

Development & Transformation

• Design and develop complex ABAP Object-Oriented programs for data transformations
• Write clean, maintainable ABAP code and conduct extensive debugging and root cause analysis for performance
• Develop and maintain AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) SQL Script routines for high-performance data transformations pushed down to the HANA database layer
• Build and optimise CDS (Core Data Services) views including associations, annotations, hierarchies, and input parameters for consumption in BW
• Create and maintain HANA Table Functions for reusable, parameterised SQL logic integrated with CDS and AMDP
• Design and develop SAP HANA Calculation Views (graphical and SQL Script) for complex analytical scenarios — including Aggregation, Join, Union, Projection, and Rank nodes with input parameters, variables, and currency/unit conversions
• Optimise Calculation Views for push-down performance
• Integrate Calculation Views with BW CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, and CDS-based consumption layers

Enhancement & Innovation

• Lead re-engineering initiatives to migrate legacy ABAP and BW solutions to modern HANA-native technologies (AMDP, CDS, Calculation Views, Table Functions)
• Evaluate and adopt future-state technologies aligned with SAP's roadmap

BW on HANA (Optional Skill / Nice to have but not mandatory)

• Implement, configure, and manage BW on HANA systems including InfoObjects, DataStore Objects (DSO/aDSO), InfoProviders, and CompositeProviders
• Support day-to-day BW on HANA operations including data load monitoring, error handling, and performance tuning
• Monitor and maintain process chains — proactively identify failures, take corrective action, and ensure timely data availability for business reporting
• Participate in period-end and month-end closing activities, ensuring all BW loads and transformations complete accurately and on schedule

Overall responsibility: The candidate is in charge  for the technical closing of AZTECH every month on which follows based on this billing data the whole group of Allianz SE closings. (Our solution generates not only reporting but more important real billing data with all consequences not to fulfil the timelines for the closings cycles of the company.)

Your skills => 

• University Graduate degree (mandatory)
• ABAP Development

               Hands-on experience in ABAP Object-Oriented programming — classes, interfaces, inheritance, design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer)

               Ability to write and handle User Exits for Data Sources and BEx queries

               Strong debugging skills for root cause analysis using ABAP Debugger, SQL Trace, and Performance Analysis tools

• HANA Development

Ability to design, develop, and optimise SAP HANA Calculation Views (graphical and SQL Script) — Aggregation, Join, Union, Projection, Rank nodes

Ability to write and optimise AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) SQL Script routines for data transformations

               1.Creation of complex SELECT statements with aggregations, window functions, and sub-queries

               2.Creation of complex JOINs across multiple tables (inner, left outer, cross joins)

               3.Creation of REGEX (Regular Expression) searches on strings for pattern matching and data cleansing

Experience with CDS (Core Data Services) Views — associations, annotations, hierarchies, and input parameters

Experience creating and maintaining HANA Table Functions for reusable, parameterised SQL logic

• Excellent in communication and collaboration
• Should have Data Modelling skills – Knowledge of BW modelling(ADSO/Composite provider) (Optional)
• Optional skills JSON, PI/PO.
