The purpose of this role is to manage  Digital Resilience across the Australia Branch. The Digital Resilience function includes the IT and IS Risk management within services and products delivered to the Australia branch and Operating Entities, working closely with Service Owners, Divisional Leaders, and Control Owners to embed robust risk management practices into operations. The branch function aligns with the central function for Digital Resilience to drive uplift in maturity to technical and process capability strategy for our group.

Risk Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective risk controls aligned with the Risk Policy Framework, ensuring integration into operational processes.
  • Collaborate with local and global risk teams to ensure compliance with Australian regulatory obligations and harmonize frameworks relevant to Australia.
  • Partner with Service and Control owners to enhance risk management maturity and streamline assurance processes with stakeholders.
  • Lead control assurance processes for audits, including ISAE3402 or similar, and manage customer audit requests.
  • Work with 2nd Line Risk Management to align with global risk management practices, including Non-Financial Risk Management,, Enterprise Risk Management, and operational risk.
  • Lead identification and assessment of risks across the technology business. Track local risks in Archer and integrate global service risks into local reporting for transparency.

Customer Alignment:

  • Strengthen risk management relationships with customers, serving as the primary contact between Australian entities and Allianz Technology.
  • Document and ensure compliance with local requirements for control and compliance obligations, assessing new requirements appropriately.
  • Lead management and prioritization of Customer Audit Demand across control and service owners.

Compliance:

  • Conduct compliance benchmarking exercises within the Australia branch, identifying deviations from corporate policy and tracking ownership and approved deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with ITSOA obligations across service functions from the Allianz Technology AU branch and global functions.

Digital Resilience and Risk Communities:

  • Act as a risk champion, collaborating with 2nd Line to enhance risk culture within the branch.
  • Engage with global risk communities to shape the future of digital resilience within the organization.

Requirement

  • Extensive professional experience in areas of enterprise risk management, across risk categories of operational risk, IT risk, project risk, outsourcing, business risk, with a background of an IT service provider.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and empower colleagues in risk and digital resilience maturity and capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to work in virtual and international teams globally.
  • Ability to navigate through complexity and to apply strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge of local service landscape and supplier relationships, or equivalent in other organisations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local regulatory environment and standards, including COBIT 2019, COSO, ISO27XXX, ISAE/SOC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
