Job Description: Java Backend Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Architect with experience dev ops for the AGS10 level. Designing, developing, and architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. The role requires deep expertise in Java-based microservices and MongoDB, along with strong architectural and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

•  Designing, developing, and architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Define and implement best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
• Design and optimize data models, indexing strategies, and queries in MongoDB.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system performance and development efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to deploy and scale backend services.
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

10+ years of experience in backend software development. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
 Hands-on experience with MongoDB (schema design, performance tuning, aggregation framework).
 Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and high availability architectures.
 Exposure to cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
 Good knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to have

Experience with SQL + NoSQL hybrid data architectures.
Knowledge of Resilience4j, API Gateway, Service Mesh.
Familiarity with security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
Prior experience in architecting solutions for large-scale enterprise systems.

Having a basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.Familiarity with basic AI tools is considered an advantage.Basic knowledge or experience with AI tools will be beneficial.Exposure to AI tools, even at a basic level, is a value-add.A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.
