Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer Expert you are taking part in the next phase of our tooling harmonization initiative, to provide the best services towards our development teams and to improve the adoption of standard tools throughout the organization. You work closely with several stakeholders, product owners, system architects and developer teams. Together with them, you will shape the tooling and processes for developing high quality and secure software assets.
Our Development Platform Center of Excellence is responsible for providing the development tool chain, application scaffolders and test automation standards to simplify and standardize development activities across full Allianz teams. We are building a state-of-the-art e-platform to share development experience in different teams between countries and branches as well as harmonizing our extensive development platform.

Major Responsibilities

         Develops CI/CD solutions for the services developed and operated by the team

         Develops IaC based solutions for creating and maintaining the infrastructure of the services operated by the team

         Supports customers in the onboarding process and regular usage of these services

         Monitors the operating environment of these services and responds to incidents

         Participates actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, and/or other knowledge exchanges.

Experience

 

 

  • 8 to 15 Years

 

 

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

 

  • State-of-the-art CI/CD best practices, experience with setting up and maintaining build and deployment pipelines
  • CD technologies, especially geared towards Kubernetes and public cloud, especially ArgoCD and Helm
  • Container and container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker
  • Cloud platforms, including AWS (Must) and Azure (optional)
  • Infrastructure as Code technologies, especially Terraform/OpenTofu and Crossplane
  • Software development and scripting languages, to provide automation and self-service tooling
  • Various automation frameworks, regarding build, test, integration and deployment, including Jenkins automation server and GitHub Actions
  • Git, especially GitHub
  • Knowledge and experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines, e.g. using Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, GitHub Actions, Helm, ArgoCD
  • Knowledge and experience with Helm, Terraform/OpenTofu, Crossplane
  • Knowledge and experience in container, container orchestration and container registry technologies, like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Harbor
  • AWS (MUST), especially EKS, S3, EC2, secrets manager, RDS, Networking, Route53 Azure (optional), especially Azure Entra ID
  • Good understanding of build & run-time concepts and maintenance of Java,  Spring Boot, Node.js and Python applications
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, e.g. Groovy & Python (MUST), Unix shell, Windows PowerShell (OPTIONAL)

  • Knowledge and experience in logging and monitoring technologies like ELK stack, Dynatrace, Prometheus
  • Knowledge and experience using and operating software quality assessment tools like SonarQube, TeamScale
  • Knowledge and experience using and operating test automation frameworks and tools like JUnit, TestNG, REST-assured, Selenium & Selenium Grid, Playwright, JMeter, Gatling, Postman
