Your challenge 

 

You will be placed in our Milan office, within the Fidelity Department, and you will report directly to the Global Head of Fidelity, with a matrix reporting line to your Head of Region; you will be responsible for leading a regional team of expert sales and underwriting specialists responsible for achieving sales targets, underwriting, and managing accounts for Crime and Fraud Insurance products. This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with ASU (Allianz Standard for P&C Underwriting), Global Fidelity Rules and Local Authorities across the region.

The manager will drive product innovation, market adaptation, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain a competitive edge and ensure long-term profitability within the region; close collaboration with the regional sales/ commercial organization is essential to align strategies and achieve business goals.

 

You will be primarily responsible for the following activities: 

  • Regional Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of expert sales and underwriting specialists, set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching, foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture across the region.
  • Strategic Sales and Business Development: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve new business targets and portfolio growth leveraging all sales channels (direct, broker, Allianz, banks), oversee lead generation and prospection activities within the region, ensuring alignment with business goals, collaborate with other Lines of Business to identify and develop cross-selling opportunities within the region, collaborate closely with the regional and local sales organizations to align strategies and identify and develop (cross-selling) opportunities, organize joint sales meetings and planning sessions with local sales teams to ensure cohesive efforts.
  • Underwriting and Risk Management: Ensure the team conducts proper underwriting and pricing in compliance with Global Fidelity Rules, review and approve complex underwriting cases and pricing offers, act as a point of escalation for non-standard cases, coordinating with the Global function.
  • Account Management and Client Satisfaction: Oversee account management activities to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention within the region, monitor the regional Fidelity portfolio and ensure timely renewals, contract changes, and cancellations, ensure accurate and timely reporting of portfolio performance and client feedback, work closely with local sales teams to address client needs and feedback effectively.
  • Market and Product Innovation: Stay abreast of market trends and evolutions in Crime and Fraud Insurance within the region, drive product innovation and propose new solutions to meet regional market demands, coordinate with marketing to develop content and promotional materials tailored to the region, solicit input from local sales teams on market demands and customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Compliance and Coordination: Ensure all regional activities comply with ASU (Allianz Standard for P&C Underwriting), Global Fidelity Rules and Local Authorities, oversee the coordination of international insurance programs and manage local policies with the support of internal tools, maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the region, facilitate regular communication and coordination between fidelity, sales, marketing and other relevant departments.

 

You are the ideal candidate if... 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • You have minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on Crime and Fraud Insurance, proven track record in sales, underwriting, and account management and experience in managing and developing high-performance teams.
  • You have strong leadership and team management skills, expertise in Crime and Fraud Insurance products and market specifics, excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills, proficiency in underwriting and risk assessment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively with regional and local sales teams and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • You are proficient in local language and English.
