About the job

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for assessing, managing and reporting a portfolio of projects or services and assesses strategic business alignment, manages evaluation of demand, prioritisation and approval of projects/services. He/She monitors portfolio performance including risks and dependencies and ensures appropriate reporting. He/She ensures the accurate decision making preparation and ensures proper stakeholder communication. The Portfolio Manager provides procedural guidance to all involved stakeholders and is responsible of establishing and maintaining a framework and methodology for portfolio management. 

 

What you do 

  •  Identifies, evaluates and selects projects or services, based on business strategy and requested approvals
  • Plans and executes the pipeline, reviews funding and planned amortization 
  • Plans, monitors, controls and reports portfolio performance, portfolio risk and escalates issues if necessary, initiates corrective action and/or recommendations 
  • Resolves and/or prepares resolution of inter-portfolio dependencies and risks from a strategic perspective and in a business continuity context 
  • Ensures the accurate decision making preparation, prioritzation and stakeholder communication on senior management level 
  • Establishes and maintains a framework and methodology (a governance body of policies and procedures) for project/service portfolio management within the organization 
  • Advises project managers, service owners, stakeholders and actively clarifies the process guidelines/ supports them along the approval process and reporting lifecycle 

 

What you bring

  • Applying strategic, analytical and sustainable thinking and problem solving capabilities 
  • Possessing assertiveness and conflict management skills 
  • Experienced in organizational transformation and change management 
  • Knowledge of relevant products / services, as well as internal standards, processes, rules and procedures (e.g. NBM/CBM) 
  • Understanding of risk management, quality management and delivery management 

  • Basic knowledge in AI technologies, principles and their practical use
