What you do

 

The M&A Strategy Manager is tasked with advancing M&A transactions and initiatives for Allianz Partners, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching corporate strategy. This role is crucial in establishing a standardized and repeatable framework for M&A activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. M&A Framework Development: Create, document, and communicate a comprehensive M&A framework to standardize the process, leveraging AI/Data Strategy to optimize target screening, evaluation, and integration processes.

 

2. M&A Process Oversight: Manage the entire M&A process, from screening potential targets to post-deal integration.

    • Target Evaluation: Lead target evaluation, managing the GMAC process and due diligence, utilizing Machine Learning for data-driven insights.
    • Post-Deal Integration: Actively participate in post-deal activities to ensure smooth integration, supported by Business Intelligence tools

 

3. Stakeholder Management: Maintain continuous communication with senior stakeholders, gathering insights and keeping them informed.

 

4. Business Segment Strategy Definition: Contribute to defining business segment strategies and lead strategic projects.

 

5. Project Management: Develop solid project plans to ensure adherence to stringent timelines, incorporating Cloud Technology for efficient collaboration

 

Challenges:

  • Ensure seamless coordination among cross-functional teams and external partners across various locations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Allianz Partners across different verticals.
  • Stay updated on the Assistance and Travel landscape.
  • Embrace and drive new strategic and complex projects, particularly technological ones.

 

What you bring

 

Technical Skills Required:

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Product Management, or related fields.
  • Certifications in Agile Product Management, UX/UI Design, or Data Analytics would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills to solve complex challenges in digital product development and data operationalization, with a focus on AI/Data Strategy.
  • Good market knowledge of the insurance/assistance sector.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Business Intelligence tools to enhance strategic decision-making.

 

General Skills Required:

  • Excellent command of English and additional languages (especially French and German).
  • Demonstrated experience in translating data strategies into digital products, with knowledge of Data Governance.
  • Proven experience in product ownership or management for digital solutions in multi-business or multi-region settings.
  • Experience in managing digital product backlogs and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and experience leading digital design initiatives.
  • Ability to make key product decisions independently.
  • Strong strategic mindset to align digital products with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage expectations and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Understanding of cultural and regional nuances impacting digital products.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technology and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to enhance process efficiency and collaboration
