Technical Accountant in Insurance industry (f/m)

The Technical Accountant is responsible for carrying out the technical accounting inward and outward by the application of the treaties and participates in the production and analysis of the technical results of the insurance activity.
What you do /Key Responsibilities
- Support the quarterly financial closing process, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
- Perform reconciliations between technical insurance systems and SAP to ensure data integrity.
- Book manual accounting entries as needed to align financial results and support closing activities.
- Process accounts receivable and payable transactions related to reinsurance and insurance operations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
- Understand and apply the reinsurance model to support accounting decisions and answer operational queries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve data quality.
What you bring /Required Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Solid experience in SAP and exposure to technical insurance systems.
- Proficiency in reconciliations, manual entries, and quarterly close procedures.
- Ability to understand and interpret reinsurance models and their impact on accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global team
