Allianz Partners is redefining its roadside assistance (RSA) and mobility services as part of its global “Elevate” program. The goal is simple yet ambitious: to thoroughly rethink our processes in order to significantly improve customer satisfaction while reducing internal and external costs by 5 to 10% by 2030 (compared to 2025); to achieve this, we need pricing and analytics tools that underwriters can trust every day.

This internship is for someone who enjoys working with data and code (Excel/VBA and Python), likes to understand how things work “under the hood”, and wants to see their work used in real insurance decisions across multiple countries.

You’ll sit in the global RSA actuarial & pricing team within Product & Underwriting, helping keep our pricing tools accurate, efficient and innovative.

If you’re studying maths, statistics, actuarial science or data science, are comfortable in spreadsheets and basic programming, and want real-world pricing and modelling experience in an international environment, this is likely a good fit.

You will:

  • Support the development, maintenance and testing of global pricing tools and other underwriting Excel tools (including VBA-based tools) used by Product & Underwriting
  • Prepare and clean pricing data sets: check data quality, structure data for analysis, and create basic summaries and insights for the pricing manager and underwriters
  • Help build and run pricing models (e.g. GLMs and basic machine learning models) to predict claim frequency and severity in Python and/or other tools
  • Contribute to automating repetitive pricing and reporting tasks to improve productivity and reduce manual work (e.g. scripts, templates, simple dashboards)
  • Work with global underwriters and pricing colleagues to understand their questions and translate them into practical analyses or tool enhancements
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insight responsibly and in line with our standards for data governance, security and ethical use

What you bring

  • Studying for (or recently completed) a bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science or a closely related field – you are comfortable with numbers, probability and basic statistical concepts
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, including formulas and data handling – you can structure spreadsheets clearly and check your own work
  • Some experience with Excel VBA and/or Python – not expert level, but you can read, modify and write simple scripts or macros to manipulate data and automate tasks
  • Ability to work with data in a structured way: cleaning, checking for obvious issues, and preparing it for analysis or modelling
  • Clear communication in English, including the ability to explain technical work in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders (e.g. underwriters and product managers)
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from actuaries, data scientists and underwriters in a global team setting
