This full-time internship in Data & Analytics at Allianz Partners is for someone who wants to see how data governance really works in a global company – not just in theory. You’ll be part of a small, skilled team working on a real transformation project: defining how we manage and retain data, and helping to implement our data governance framework on Databricks.

It’s a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy working with data (collecting, structuring, analysing) and can explain what you find in clear, simple language
  • Are curious about data governance, regulation and how large organisations control and use data
  • Want a hands-on, end-to-end experience rather than just doing isolated analysis tasks
  • Are comfortable talking to different stakeholders and are not shy about asking questions or sharing your views

What you do

  • Support data-related projects: understand user needs, collect data from different sources, perform data analysis and interpretation, and present your findings in a clear way
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (regional and country teams) to collect, challenge and document data retention rules
  • Help design and implement a practical handbook for data retention policies that can be used by business and technical teams
  • Contribute to the implementation of the data governance framework on Databricks, working with the team to translate rules and policies into concrete setups and processes
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insight responsibly and in line with our standards for data governance, security and ethical use

What you bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or equivalent university programme, with availability for a 5–6 month full-time internship
  • Solid data management and analytical skills: you can clean, structure and analyse data, and draw meaningful conclusions from it
  • Basic coding skills in Python and/or SQL, with the willingness to learn more in a cloud and Databricks context
  • Good communication skills in English (our working language): you can write clearly, present your work, and interact confidently with stakeholders; other languages (German, French or Spanish) are a plus
  • Comfortable working in an agile, cross-functional environment: you can organise your work, manage your time, and follow through on commitments with a good level of autonomy
  • Detail-oriented and structured in your thinking, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and contribute your ideas to the team
