Intern - Finance Analyst for Home and Digital Services F/M
Saint-Ouen, 93, FR, 93400
This internship sits in the global Finance Planning & Controlling team for Home and Digital Services at Allianz Partners. The team helps steer several lines of business worldwide by turning numbers into clear insights and recommendations for senior management.
This role is for a Master’s student or recent graduate who wants hands-on, real-world experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis in an international context. You should enjoy working with data, be comfortable in Excel/PowerPoint, and be curious about how financials drive business decisions across different regions and products.
If you’re looking for a 6‑month internship where you’re treated as a junior team member rather than just doing admin, this is likely a good fit.
What you do
You will spend your time:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Home and Digital Services business lines, including standard reports and management presentations
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, performance drivers and issues, and helping translate these into clear, actionable insights for the Head of Planning & Controlling
- Helping to improve data quality and consistency, checking and challenging data accuracy, and contributing to more efficient data workflows between different teams and systems
- Supporting the use and enhancement of technical and automated tools (e.g. Excel models, dashboards, reporting tools such as Power BI) to make reporting more robust and efficient
- Coordinating with colleagues across regions (Europe, Asia Pacific, MEA, Americas) and functions to collect information, follow up on deadlines and ensure smooth reporting cycles
- Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insight responsibly and in line with our standards for data governance, security and ethical use
What you bring
This is what “good” looks like for us:
- Currently in (or recently completed) a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (e.g. Insurance/Services), with solid understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts so you can work meaningfully with P&L and KPI data
- Some prior experience as a controller, financial analyst, or in a similar analytical role (internship, student job or apprenticeship) so you are familiar with working with figures, deadlines and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to structure data, spot inconsistencies, and extract key messages from financial information for non‑finance stakeholders
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (e.g. complex formulas, charts, clear presentations); exposure to Power BI or similar reporting/visualisation tools is a strong plus as we move towards more automated, data‑driven reporting
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) as this is the working language in a global environment; French and any additional languages are a plus given the international stakeholder base
- Collaborative mindset and good communication skills, able to work effectively in a diverse, international team and to coordinate with multiple stakeholders with different priorities and time zones
