We are looking for a dedicated Senior Consultant in Data Privacy to support our Line of Business. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Specialist in Data Privacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and safeguarding personal data across our line of business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support to the Regional Data Protection Officer (DPO):
- Assist Regional DPOs in steering the DPO/DPP community for reporting and data protection maturity assessments
- Support reporting activities and the implementation of data protection projects and programs (e.g., PIA migration & review, Data Protection Maturity Assessment, quarterly reporting)
- Prepare for new laws and regulations impacting data protection, including oversight of AI-related topics and projects
Privacy & Data Protection Compliance:
- Inform and advise entities on personal data processing compliance
- Monitor compliance with local data protection provisions and policies, including awareness-raising and training for staff
- Provide guidance on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and monitor their performance
Data Protection Monitoring and Advisory:
- Manage regulatory monitoring and advisory services within Allianz Data Protection framework
- Coordinate and steer data protection activities, ensuring harmonized procedures and tools
- Monitor audits of assets and platforms, advising on remediation plans
- Assist in monitoring assurance programs and advise on Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
- Identify and analyze key data protection risks, contributing to risk mitigation strategies
- Perform Data Protection Risk Assessments in line with Allianz Partners' guidelines
- Monitor regulatory changes and align data protection requirements with business objectives
Standards, Policies, and Training:
- Promote a "Data Protection by Design" mindset across the organization
- Develop and maintain standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Execute data protection training programs for executives, non-executives, and privacy champions
Privacy Champions Program:
- Assess the need for Privacy Champions within legal entities and onboard them
- Steer and animate the Privacy Champions community locally and by area of expertise
Data Protection Reporting and Investigations:
- Support the Regional DPO in timely reporting activities
- Handle global and local data subject rights inquiries
- Consult on personal data incidents, data breach notifications, and remedial actions
- Manage data protection investigations in collaboration with Legal, Operations, and Audit teams
AI Trust Officer Responsibilities:
- Perform Responsible AI (RAI) assessments to ensure compliance with RAI principles and local regulations
- Advise business owners on AI risk management, real-life testing, and incident management processes
- Monitor AI risks and report to the Regional and Global AI Trust Officers
- Ensure documentation and compliance with AI incident management processes
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in English and French (spoken and written). Proficiency in German is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and other global data protection regulations
- Proficiency in data protection tools, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Law, Data Privacy, Compliance, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in Data Protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar) are a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related field
- Proven expertise in managing data protection frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Experience in AI governance and Responsible AI principles is an advantage
