Role Overview
The Vertical Lead / IT Delivery Lead oversees complex, multi-team IT delivery programs, ensuring roadmap execution, operational excellence, governance, and alignment with business outcomes. The role owns delivery pipelines, release trains, stakeholder communication, leading people and performance management while driving innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement across squads.
Experience
- 12+ years in IT delivery/program management.
- 7+ years leading multi-team or multi‑squad delivery programs.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, technology, and vendor ecosystems.
- Proven Agile/SAFe delivery experience; distributed team leadership in global environments.
- Hands‑on experience with change/release management and operational governance.
- An expert in leading people from different locations and doing their performance management
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery pipeline, release trains, dependency mapping, and roadmap execution.
- Align with global functional/technology leads on strategy, OKRs, and business outcomes.
- Manage financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and vendor relations.
- Build and lead high-performing delivery teams; drive capability uplift and coaching culture.
- Establish governance with KPIs/OKRs, delivery dashboards, and compliance/audit readiness.
- Ensure cross-squad synchronization, risk/issue resolution, and technology alignment.
- Drive reuse, standardization, and process excellence across programs.
- Oversee change/release management, post-release validations, and production readiness.
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Jira/Confluence, MS Project, and ITSM platforms (ITIL/ServiceNow).
- CI/CD awareness and cloud fundamentals for modern delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of governance models, KPIs/OKRs, and delivery metrics.
- Security and regulatory compliance exposure in enterprise settings.
- Performance‑first mindset with focus on predictability and delivery excellence.
- Experience in using AI tools in day-to-day activities.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in insurance/financial services domain.
- Exposure to automation, DevOps maturity models, and cloud transformations.
