Senior Auditor
Sofia- Srebarna 16, BG
What you do
- Lead and execute audit engagements end to end — from planning and scoping through fieldwork, reporting, and closure — across underwriting, claims, finance, sales, IT etc.
- Own the delivery of assigned audits in line with the IIA Standards, regulatory requirements, and Allianz Group policies and functional rules.
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance frameworks; identify root causes and agree on practical, risk-based improvements with management.
- Design and apply data-driven audit approaches, including analytics on full populations rather than samples, and translate results into clear audit conclusions.
- Review the working papers of junior colleagues, provide on-the-job coaching, and act as a point of reference for methodology questions.
- Draft audit reports and findings for senior management, and present and defend conclusions in discussions with auditees at management level.
- Maintain a continuous dialogue with business stakeholders on the risk landscape and monitor the timely and effective remediation of open issues.
- Drive initiatives to improve the audit function — digitalization, analytics tooling, methodology enhancements — and contribute to the annual audit planning and risk assessment.
