Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Designer to join our Agile Delivery Centre. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications, with a strong emphasis on business analysis, functional expertise, and technical design.

The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions, ensure compliance with enterprise strategies and regulations, and support the full lifecycle of applications and projects.

This position requires fluency in French and English, follows the French calendar, and operates within CET working hours.

What You Do: 

Application Design & Development

• Propose simplifications of business processes and management rules, and communicate envisaged changes to relevant stakeholders
• Analyze solution compliance with enterprise strategy, regulations, security rules, architectural coherence, and associated risks and costs
• Formalize requirements and functional specifications (solution user stories)
• Define solution use cases and guarantee the test strategy definition
• Ensure functional support and alignment of tests with business needs in collaboration with development teams
• Prototype proposed solutions when required
• Configure solution components as needed
• Ensure compliance of the delivered solution against defined requirements
• Provide functional and technical expertise for ongoing maintenance and support
• Map, document, and maintain solution developments and interventions in a knowledge base

Business Analysis & Functional Expertise

• Collect, analyze, and challenge business needs with a focus on simplification and enhancement of Group and local solutions
• Model, describe, and document end-to-end solutions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
• Lead end-to-end process design, from requirements gathering through to solution implementation
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including user guides, process flows, and change management materials
• Ensure compliance with enterprise strategy, regulations, security rules, and architectural coherence
• Provide functional expertise for maintenance, support, and testing alignment with business needs

Agile Methodology & Collaboration

• Work within Agile frameworks (SAFe/Scrum) to deliver incremental value
• Facilitate Agile rituals and ceremonies as required
• Leverage tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for task management and documentation
• Plan and monitor team workloads and project portfolios
• Report and communicate on squad deliverables and progress

Incident Management & Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in production environments in a timely manner
• Ensure prompt correction of bugs and implementation of user-requested enhancements
• Document incident resolutions and solution interventions in the knowledge base

What You Bring:  

Technical Expertise

• Experience with Willis Towers Watson tools or related platforms (e.g., Risk Agility FM)
• Proficiency in SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, and SAS Enterprise Guide
• Strong skills in Python, PySpark, Spark, and SQL for data access and calculations
• Experience with data modeling tools such as dbt and version control systems like Git/GitHub
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks) and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI/CD)
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Unix), virtualization (Citrix, VMware), and schedulers (HPC / VTOM)
• Understanding of Solvency II regulations (preferred)

• Fluent in French and English (written and oral) 
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
• Collaborative leadership with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
• Strong sense of synthesis and ability to convey complex information clearly
