We are looking for an Underwriting Technician (m/f/d), based in Stockholm
Your Team
Our team is committed to building strong relationships with brokers, underwriters, and offshore partners. We provide efficient services across underwriting, claims, and accounting, performing risk checks, supporting pricing data entry, and ensuring account readiness for renewals. As key contacts, we facilitate the timely delivery of quotes and policy documents, while actively contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives.
The Impact You Will Have
You will play a crucial role in enhancing our market-facing Onshore Operations by building strong relationships with brokers, underwriters, and offshore partners. You will ensure efficient service delivery across underwriting, claims, and accounting. By supporting renewal underwriting tasks and driving process improvements, you will contribute significantly to our team's success and operational excellence.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Engage with insureds and brokers to support underwriting and ensure comprehensive client servicing.

Build relationships with internal units and external customers, including Brokers/Underwriting and GBO offshore Account Technicians.

Collaborate globally to improve processes and attend relevant meetings.

Review underwriting materials for completeness and interact with Brokers to resolve missing information.

Perform pre-bind tasks and accurately populate IT systems with policy data.

Invoice customers and produce necessary documentation.

Ensure timely handover of information to Offshore teams.

Coordinate complex queries to resolve reconciliation discrepancies.

Monitor and follow up on receivables and policy issuance.

Manage and prioritize workflow to meet performance standards.

Monitor and maintain accounts, escalating issues as needed.

Support system testing and develop product/process knowledge.

Participate in cross-functional projects for process improvement.
What You’ll Bring to the Role

Commercial and large corporate insurance experience, preferably in client servicing, with a background in brokerage or company settings.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with relevant business applications and systems.

Ability to continuously develop technical and systems knowledge, along with business and insurance understanding.

Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions, and coverages.

Advanced understanding of the policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, and credit control.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal abilities.

Proficient in task planning and time management, with experience in scheduling tasks according to priorities.

Ability to motivate others and work effectively as part of a team, including training and coaching staff.

Completion of a recognized insurance qualification or equivalent in the financial sector.

A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.

Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages as required.
