Portfolio Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager (m/f/d) to join our Portfolio Alianz German Clients & Allianz SE team at the earliest possible date, based in either Stuttgart or Munich. The Portfolio Alianz German Clients & Allianz SE team acts as the primary client manager for the global real estate investment portfolios managed by Pimco Prime Real Estate and serving all German Alianz investors and Alianz SE.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the specific Allianz client team for a specific alternative investment product (“Private Finance Police”), focusing on all performance, cashflow and market/investment story reporting investment for underlying basket of real estate investments across various regions and sectors valued at roughly EUR 20 billion.
- Engage in regular and ad-hoc reporting for the key product of the Alianz client by ensuring comprehensive data and performance reporting, with a focus on quality assurance, market commentary, return driver identification and performance analysis, while monitoring product performance.
- Perform investor-specific portfolio analysis and improve reporting functionalities (e.g., client dashboards) using advanced data analysis skills to identify and develop investment story-telling ideas.
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks and managing complex analyses and projects in relationship with other departments such as Asset and Transaction Management.
- Support senior team members by providing advice on major operational decisions related to assets, such as leasing, capital expenditures, or divestment proposals, while actively contributing to the review of asset business plans and participating in strategic asset discussions.
- Contribute to commentary and investment storytelling for financial result forecasting and deviation analysis, based on a solid understanding of financial performance figureBuild and maintain a network with key stakeholders, including Finance, Asset Management, and indirect teams
- Act as a team player by facilitating regular internal communication and collaboration across departments to gain insights into performance and to stay informed about financial and performance drivers
- Client interaction: Engages in client interactions when required and involves Senior colleagues in case of more complex / multi-dimensional topics
Key Requirements
- An advanced graduate degree in Real Estate, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Professional experience in real estate appropriate to the position, ideally in portfolio, fund, or management roles. Candidates with a background in alternative investments outside of real estate will also be considered.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, [able to drive projects in autonomy]
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks and managing complex projects/issues; able to determine which tasks require more supervision
- Demonstrated strong influencing skills in a cross-department context; A proactive, hands-on approach and the determination to execute projects and tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details and sharp understanding of cash flow modeling/Real Estate Valuation/finance acumen
- High level proficiency Microsoft Office (Excel and PPT), experience of market place Real Estate systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English and German
