About the role 

 
The Business Support Manager is responsible for providing support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Business Manager across a range of key operational, strategic, project and regulatory initiatives, in line with the divisional priorities.  

Key Accountabilities: 

• Support the effective day-to-day operation of the CFO Office and Finance Division, ensuring priorities, deliverables and strategic initiatives are coordinated and delivered to a high standard.  

• Drive forward planning and prioritisation across the Finance Division, tracking actions, managing competing priorities and ensuring key commitments are met.  

• Coordinate executive meetings, events and CFO briefing materials, ensuring leaders are well prepared for key internal and external engagements.  

• Prepare and review reports, presentations and communications, supporting Finance leadership with performance insights and executive-level reporting.  

• Provide coordination support for strategic projects and regulatory initiatives, helping to drive execution, governance and business outcomes. 

• Lead continuous improvement and champion AI-enabled ways of working by implementing automation, standardised processes and digital solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the CFO office and across the Finance Division. 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams within a complex, matrixed environment, ideally within insurance or financial services. 

• Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing demands proactively.  

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders.  

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, presentations and executive briefings.  

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes. 

• High attention to detail, sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.  

• Strong AI and automation proficiency, with experience improving processes and embedding more efficient ways of working. 

Please note this is a fully onsite role, and the successful candidate is expected to work from the office five days per week.
