We hire people who can further our commitment to caring and securing the future for our customers.

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will lead the execution and delivery of Identity Access Management initiatives across Allianz Australia. Your role works closely with the Head of IAM Governance and the IAM programme to oversee delivery activities, including prioritisation, enablement, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to senior leadership.

About the role:

  • Champion and pilot emerging IAM capabilities, including adaptive authentication, passkeys/phish-resistant MFA, cloud identity, Zero Trust, and secrets management.

  • Lead the IAM strategy and multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment with Allianz Group standards and internal risk appetite.
  • Establish and govern an IAM Design Authority to mandate security patterns and maintain traceability from risks to controls to outcomes.
  • Drive IAM architecture decisions in collaboration with enterprise/solution architects and security engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
  • Maintain enterprise security patterns for SSO/MFA/Conditional Access and extend patterns for API authentication and secrets management where applicable.
  • Lead the IAM delivery team and oversee end-to-end execution, including application onboarding, lifecycle automation, and PAM enablement.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on risk, business value, and compliance; manage dependencies, milestones, budgets, and resource capacity.
  • Monitor KPIs and roadmap outcomes; prepare executive and board-level reporting on progress milestones.
  • Embed IAM controls into delivered capabilities, ensuring audit-grade evidence, ongoing control effectiveness, and compliance with Allianz Group standards.

About you:

  • 7+ years experience leading IAM delivery with experience managing cross-functional teams, external service providers, and enterprise-scale identity programmes.
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and programme management.
  • Sound ability to analyse our needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Deep experience in an identity governance or identity and access management role for a complex, matrixed organisation, or consulting to the financial services industry. Experience with IAM and PAM products.
  • Tertiary qualifications (preferred) in a business, commerce, IT, security, or other relevant discipline. Hold relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA SCF, TOGAF, CCSP or equivalent.
