As Allianz continues to transform its business, this newly created Head of Technology Risk in Change role provides Line 1 Risk in Change (RIC) leadership, oversight, and advisory support.    The role ensures technology related risks are identified, assessed, and managed throughout the project change lifecycle, embedding robust risk practices that safeguard business objectives, protect customers, and meet regulatory obligations.  This is a key leadership position, accountable for delivering proactive risk advice and challenge in high-impact change environments.

 

About the role

  • Lead first line ownership of technology risk in change advice, guiding executives and delivery teams to consistently apply risk standards.
  • Collaborate with program sponsors and technology leaders to embed risk awareness, accountability, and oversee frameworks and controls for managing change delivery risks.
  • Advise on emerging risks related to complex programs, demonstrating strong oversight of change-related risks and facilitating risk workshops and training sessions.
  • Partner with Line 2 Risk and Assurance functions to ensure effective challenge and control confidence, acting as a trusted advisor to influence decision-making for balanced delivery and sustainable risk outcomes.
  • Lead a high-performing team of risk professionals, develop divisional capability to manage and escalate risks in change, and champion a proactive and accountable risk culture across change initiatives.

 

About you

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience in risk management across large-scale change programs.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of risk frameworks, program delivery methodologies, and regulatory obligations, with strong stakeholder management skills to influence senior executives and program sponsors.
  • Track record of building capability and embedding risk culture in complex organizations, with excellent analytical, advisory, and communication skills to translate complex risks into actionable insights.
  • Exhibit RIC technical expertise in assessing and evidencing the effectiveness of controls, navigating complexity and ambiguity to provide pragmatic solutions meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and inform judgments and solutions, positively influencing risk behaviours throughout Allianz.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
