The primary purpose of the role is to support for the CTP Claims team through accurate and punctual coding of all injuries on claims and conduct peer reviews completed internally and by contractors as per the Abbreviated Injury Scale standards. As a member of the Injury Management, Health, and Wellbeing team, support the CTP Claims teams to maximise social, health, and commercial outcomes, deliver excellence in customer experience and meet compliance benchmarks

 

 About the role 

  • Evaluate relevant medical information at required periodic points of a claim to code injuries in accordance with the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) standards and regulatory requirements across NSW, QLD, TIO, and SA
  • Review coding activities performed internally and ensure they adhere to legislative requirements for NSW, QLD, TIO, and SA and proactively inform process optimization
  • Suggest injury coding trends and proactively identify improvement and robust quality assurance in the service delivery model
  • Proactively keep up to date with the national AIS requirements, guidelines, and knowledge across NSW, QLD, TIO, and SA
  • Support the injury management and claims teams with timely and accurate injury coding across NSW, QLD, TIO, and SA CTP schemes to assist with the accurate rating of claims for the purpose of providing the best support for our clients

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
  • Accreditation in Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) Injury Coding
  • Demonstrated evidence of operational efficiency with systems, databases, reporting, and communication tools
  • Highly developed technical knowledge in legislative and regulatory requirements, preferable on multiple jurisdictional platforms
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and can quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Innovative, strategic, and collaborative thinking to inform continuous improvement opportunities within the injury management framework
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
