About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of B2B and B2C social media communications with the aim of building trust with key stakeholders and enhancing the company’s reputation.
You’ll help shape the social narrative for Allianz, and work across iconic partnerships including Football Australia, the West Coast Eagles, the Olympic and Paralympic movements and Allianz Stadium.
- Support the implementation of the social media strategy to drive growth in impressions, engagement, audience size, and sentiment.
- Work alongside the Head of Social Media and Content to manage end-to-end delivery of campaigns, including strategy, ideation, production, publishing, and performance reporting.
- Act as custodian of the social media channels, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines, internal priorities, and external trends for maximum relevance and impact.
- Address customer inquiries promptly, manage escalations, and support issue resolution in line with brand and crisis communication frameworks.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify content opportunities, translate insights into compelling content, and deliver executive thought leadership initiatives.
- Write, edit and create engaging social media content that reflects Allianz’s brand, and is optimised for the relevant audience and social media channel. Briefing external agencies and suppliers on key outputs as and when required.
- Track, analyse, and report campaign performance, providing data-driven recommendations to optimise future social media activities.
About you
- Previous experience in social media roles (in-house or agency) with a proven ability to create engaging content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Skilled in producing high-quality, on-the-go content (e.g. UGC-style videos, product clips, lifestyle shots) using smartphones or cameras, with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices to drive engagement.
- Proficient in using social media analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics) for performance optimisation, as well as design tools like Canva, Figma, and CapCut for content creation.
- Familiarity with social media listening and community management tools like Hootsuite and Meltwater.
- Experience working with senior executives to develop public-facing content, including thought leadership and profile-building initiatives.
- Excellent research, verbal, and written communication skills, adaptable to various tones.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
