About the role

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to shape pricing recommendations that balance commercial goals with long-term value and shared success.
  • Co-create and continually refine pricing models and strategies, drawing on data, insight, and best practices to support sustainable decision-making.
  • Foster ownership of pricing tools and frameworks, ensuring they evolve responsively to changing business needs and market dynamics.
  • Monitor outcomes using feedback and performance insights to guide ongoing improvement and innovation.
  • Support product and strategic initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancement, alignment, and meaningful impact across teams.

 

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Actuarial science, data science, mathematics or statistics)
  • Strong progression towards Part III Fellowship exams is preferrable.
  • Experience in a pricing / actuarial role, acquired in a financial services (preferably general insurance) and/or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools (Willis Towers Watson pricing software (Emblem, Radar) and SAS, R, or Python).
  • Experience building or working with Generalised Linear Models (GLMs) and machine-learning techniques such as Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs).
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends, and links that inform judgements and solutions, and report accordingly.
  • Ability to manage internal client expectations to ensure matters are appropriately triaged and dealt with in accordance with an agreed timeline and scope.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
