About the role
- Define, communicate, and continuously refine the product vision and roadmap, aligning priorities with business strategy, OKRs, customer needs, and measurable outcomes while maintaining deep domain expertise and acting as a trusted authority within the Tribe.
- Own and govern product backlogs across multiple squads, establish prioritisation frameworks, ensure backlog health and readiness, and coach Product Owners to drive consistent, high-quality product management practices.
- Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships across business, technology, and leadership teams, represent the product area in governance forums, and balance competing priorities with transparency, confidence, and diplomacy.
- Lead customer discovery, research, and validation activities to ensure decisions are driven by user insights, while coordinating cross-squad dependencies, resolving impediments, and managing risks to maintain roadmap alignment and delivery success.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and agile/product certifications, supported by 5+ years of Product Owner/Product Manager experience, including senior-level accountability for product strategy and outcomes. Additionally, extensive knowledge of the General Insurance landscape is advantageous.
- Strong leadership experience in agile environments, with a proven ability to coach and develop team members, lead across complex matrix organisations, and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Deep expertise in agile delivery, product management, and technology, including roadmap and backlog governance, scaled agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), SDLC, technical architecture, dependency management, and value-based prioritisation.
- Proven commercial and stakeholder management capabilities, including developing business cases, managing ROI-driven investment decisions, defining and tracking product success metrics, and communicating effectively with executive, board-level, and external stakeholders.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
