About the role

 

The primary purpose of this Line 2 role is to manage the implementation, execution and monitoring of the Allianz Risk Management Framework, by ensuring that Allianz’ risk management policies and risk governance are well designed and operating effectively across all divisions.

 

  • Support with the development, execution and monitoring of risk management & compliance policies and governance processes.  Ensure risk policies are suitable for the size and complexity of Allianz Australia whilst also meeting Allianz SE Group requirements.
  • Monitor and provide reporting on material risks (including emerging risks) and mitigations to senior management and the Allianz Board to ensure appropriate escalation.
  • Facilitate reporting to and queries from Allianz SE Group Risk function, including periodic site visits from Group.
  • Contribute to key requirements under CPS 220 including annual review of the Allianz Risk Management Strategy, Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Declaration.
  • Act as an advisor on enterprise risk management processes and framework requirements to support a strong risk culture across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the Line 2 Forum through implementing continuous improvements to the Allianz Risk Management Framework across the Line 1 Risk & Compliance community.  

 

About you

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in audit or risk and compliance management role for a complex, matrixed general insurance / financial services organisation.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of design and operating effectiveness of controls.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, combined with a curious and creative mind-set.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision-making.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
