About the role
The Line 1 Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of the risk and compliance management framework. Partnering closely with the business, this role ensures that current and emerging risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed with a focus on supporting our Personal Injury and Commercial business units.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the risk and compliance framework within the business.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor and manage current and emerging risks.
- Provide risk and compliance advice to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee risk incidents, issues and control effectiveness, ensuring appropriate remediation and reporting.
- Monitor compliance obligations and regulatory requirements, supporting adherence across the business.
- Prepare and deliver risk reporting, insights and stakeholder engagement activities to promote a strong risk culture.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in risk, compliance, governance, audit, finance or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, governance or a related control function.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls, regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
- Ability to identify, assess and manage business risks while providing practical risk advice to stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills across multiple levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
