About the role
The Senior Analyst role will support the Profitability Modelling team. The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for preparing accurate and timely analysis, insights, and reporting of internal and external agreements, from a profitability perspective, to be involved in the end-to-end delivery of squad deliverables, and to be an active member of the Profitability Squad, collaborating with members, other squads, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the modelling profitability of the business, including assessing the impact of planned actions and changes in the underwriting portfolios from an accounting perspective.
- Consider and provide advice on business steering implications from profitability assessments.
- Assess the impact of business scenarios on key financial metrics, including operating profit, return on equity, dividends and solvency position.
- Assess and provide recommendations on business cases in relation to changes or additions to the business, including review of intermediary remuneration and profit share
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations.
- Demonstrated experience and advanced understanding of profitability analysis.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
- Experience in General Insurance industry and an understanding of its key drivers.
- Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with an ability to articulate and influence key stakeholders and decision makers
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
