About the role
- Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more key data products, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise data strategy.
- Partner with business and technical teams to understand needs and ensure alignment.
- Develop and maintain the data product roadmap and prioritise the backlog based on value and feasibility.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of data product across data product lifecycle, make sure data products are fit-for-purpose, governed data products that are reusable, discoverable, and trusted
- Lead a cross functional team using agile methodologies, ensuring transparency and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to design, build, and deliver fit-for-purpose, governed data products that are reusable, discoverable, and trusted.
- Champion data quality, metadata, lineage, and interoperability, ensuring each product meets agreed standards and compliance requirements.
- Partner with business domain stakeholders, analytics team, AI and Data Science team to drive adoption and measurable value from data products.
- Coach and mentor other product owners and team members to strengthen product thinking and delivery discipline within the Data Product Team.
About you
- 10+ years’ experience in data and analytics, including at least 5 years in data product ownership or product management.
- Proven track record in defining and delivering data products, such as Customer 360, within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
- Solid understanding of data architecture and engineering concepts, including Data Mesh/Data Fabric, Medallion Data Architecture, Spark ETL, streaming/near real-time ingestion, and API-based data consumption.
- Strong knowledge of modern data platforms and tools, including Databricks, Azure, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Good understanding of AI, Generative AI, agentic systems, MLOps to support the data needs for AI application development
- Extensive experience in Agile delivery, leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, impactful data solutions.
- Collaborative, outcome-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Insurance domain experience is highly desirable.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
