About the role
In this role, you’ll help design, build, and evolve high-quality data products that power analytics, automation, and innovation across the organisation. You’ll work end-to-end, from data discovery and analysis through to transformation, modelling, and delivery, creating trusted, reusable, and discoverable semantic data models and data assets that enable smarter, faster decisions.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into data products solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Lead data discovery, profiling, and analysis activities to understand data sources, quality, and relationships across systems.
- Build and enhance data products, including semantic data models and curated datasets that are trustworthy, reusable, discoverable assets that serve analytical, operational, and machine learning use cases, using SQL, and Python.
- Implement and maintain data quality rules, validation checks, and monitoring controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Implement and improve best practices for version control, testing, and CI/CD in the data product development workflow
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and data stewards to ensure data products meet standards for governance, quality, security, and interoperability.
- Mentor team members and champion a product mindset — treating data as an asset with clear ownership, purpose, and lifecycle.
About you
- 8+ years’ experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development roles within enterprise or complex data environments.
- Strong technical expertise in data discovery, analysis and transformation using SQL, Python, Power BI
- Strong understanding of data architecture/modelling principles, eg medallion architecture, data vault
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
- Experience with modern data platforms and tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
- Proven experience in implementing data quality rules and controls
- Proven ability to shape and deliver data products that drive business insight, efficiency, and innovation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate data complexity into clear, actionable insights.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset — focused on driving reusability, trust, and impact across the organisation.
