About the role

 

  • Accountable for delivery of Finance data hub and data products that serve as a single trusted source of truth for all financial reporting and operational purposes, including GL posting, statutory, regulatory and management reporting and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and finance operations.
  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for finance data hub and data products, ensuring alignment with Finance business priorities and enterprise data strategy.
  • Responsible for finance data product backlog and prioritisation, ensuring quarterly and sprint goals are met and aligned with business objectives
  • Lead a cross functional team with data engineers, analysts, and architects to design, build, and deliver data product solutions, using agile methodologies, ensuring transparency and timely delivery.
  • Ensure data product meets data quality and data management standards, security and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Finance team stakeholders and reporting analysts to drive adoption and measurable value from finance data products.
  • Coach and mentor other product owners and team members to strengthen product thinking and delivery discipline within the Data Product Team.

 

About you

 

  • 10+ years’ experience in finance data and analytics, including at least 5 years in data product ownership or product management.
  • Proven track record in delivering finance data products/projects such as finance data warehouse, within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
  • Working knowledge of core finance processes and data, including Record-to-Report, General Ledger, subledger and financial reporting concepts, to effectively translate finance requirements into scalable finance products
  • Ability to engage confidently with Finance stakeholders, understanding how finance data is produced, governed and consumed to drive practical, value-led delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture and engineering concepts, including Data Mesh/Data Fabric, Medallion Data Architecture, Spark ETL, streaming/near real-time ingestion, and API-based data consumption.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data platforms and tools, including Databricks, Azure, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
  • Good understanding of AI, Generative AI, agentic systems, MLOps to support the data needs for AI application development
  • Extensive experience in Agile delivery, leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, impactful data solutions.
  • Collaborative, outcome-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Insurance domain experience is highly desirable.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
