The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Identity Governance function and deliver Identity Governance services within the defined risk appetite. The role will provide identity governance and access management guidance and advice to strategic projects and programs of work across the organisation and coordinating activities to ensure cyber risks are kept within appetite during organisational change. 

 

About the role

  • Strategic Leadership: Support the implementation the IAM Target Operating Model locally, aligning with Allianz Group objectives, and oversee the development of end-to-end identity governance processes and procedures to support strategic objectives.
  • Strategy Development: Support the development and execution of comprehensive strategies for IAM Governance that align with Allianz Australia objectives. Identify essential competencies and implement targeted training and upskilling programs to enhance team capabilities and drive operational excellence.
  • Oversight and Delegation: Provide oversight and leadership by delegating and prioritising tasks within the team. Monitor workload and team activities to ensure efficient operations, leveraging agile practices.
  • IAM Monitoring and Compliance: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for IAM Governance, including the uplift of policies and procedures. Ensure they are embedded across Allianz Australia, collaborating with the global IAM community.
  • Collaboration: Partner with local and global cyber security teams to contribute to the delivery of the Group's Cyber Security strategy. Facilitate strategic IAM knowledge exchange sessions between Operating Entities.
  • Reporting: Drive the continuous development and improvement of IAM reporting dashboards. Prepare management and board reports, actively manage ongoing reporting to measure key performance, risk, control, and compliance indicators, ensuring robust IAM compliance monitoring.
  • Risk Management: Oversee reporting and support the remediation of IAM audit findings. Continuously monitor and oversee the remediation of IAM-related issues and associated actions.

 

About you

  • Extensive experience in an identity governance or identity and access management role for a complex, matrixed organisation or consulting to the financial services industry. Experience with IAM and PAM products. Experience in Risk Controls/Compliance/Audit additionally would be beneficial
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively across all levels, and influence outcomes by aligning IT and business strategies.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and develop informed, creative solutions with a focus on outcomes.
  • Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills to manage tasks, prioritize competing demands, and deliver accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical specification writing and documentation, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business, commerce, IT, security or other relevant discipline. Hold relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA SCF, TOGAF, CCSP or equivalent.
