SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST (max term contract until August 2026) – TECHNICAL – SYDNEY

About the role

 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide the timely and accurate implementation of premium rates in all the impacted rating engines as well as system changes, while also monitoring and testing these changes to ensure adherence to appropriate governance frameworks

 

  • Manage the implementation of pricing decisions across multi applicable rating engines, systems and database and perform user acceptance testing of all impacted systems to ensure that the implemented system rates are in line with the pricing decisions approved by the delegated pricing authorities.
  • Undertake testing and analysis activities to ensure pricing changes are as expected and are completed within the agreed timeframe, and investigate and resolve where pricing are not as expected during the implementation stages or after the post-implementation of the changes.
  • Utilise automated monitoring tools to report on accuracy of pricing information, enhancing levels of automation.
  • Implement the controls and ensure adherence to the pricing governance framework relating to pricing deployment, testing management and sign-offs including maintenance of clear documentation.
  • Communicate information of the pricing changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries regarding pricing structures, engines or implementation.
  • Implement enhancements to the pricing change processes, documentation and analysis to improve efficiencies.
  • Support the deployment of the pricing changes in accordance with scheduled IT release nights and, if required, contribute to the testing process of pricing changes.
  • This is a max term contract of until August 2026.

 

About you

 

  • Demonstrated experience in testing and system implementation against products or pricing related changes, acquired in a complex matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation.
  • Previous experience with some programming languages such as SAS, Python, JMeter is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options to support decision making.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and documenting processes, system or business changes.
  • Demonstrated experience to navigate multiple systems, database and insurance/product specific software, including Alive, Evolution, SAF2, CPS, CPS Test Harness Testing Tool and Radar Live
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools such as Excel, Forms, SharePoint sites, Task Planner, Teams
  • Pays high attention to detail and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Ability to manage internal stakeholder expectations to ensure matters are appropriately communicated and dealt with in accordance with an agreed timeline and scope.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
