The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Eligibility team, which includes Eligibility Specialists, a Technical and Quality Specialist, and a Benefits Specialist. The role is responsible for ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to legislative timeframes, regulatory requirements, and Allianz policies and procedures. The Team Manager will drive performance to meet or exceed established targets, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and support the professional development of team members to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers and stakeholders
About the role
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Eligibility Specialists team to achieve organisational objectives and individual performance improvements.
- Manage the Eligibility Service Model, ensuring best practices, exemplary customer service, and a positive customer experience for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, oversee service standards, and ensure compliance with KPIs, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Deliver key projects and tasks within required standards and timeframes, contributing to organisational success.
- Represent the team in internal and external meetings, fostering collaboration and alignment with business goals.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team within the Workers Compensation scheme (leading Technical, Legal or Eligibility specialists is highly regarded).
- Proven experience in driving strong performance and leading change.
- Proven experience in delivering on contractual legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and rapport building.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, extract insights, and evaluate options effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
