The primary purpose of this role is to ensure all claims related performance and service measures are met and claims teams are motivated and operating effectively and efficiently and are enabled to achieve their performance objectives and a strong standing against AAL competitors.

 

About the role 

  • Maximize team performance to meet customer expectations and business objectives through effective case management, upholding standards, and continuous improvement of business processes
  • Achieve key financial performance objectives aligned with WorkSafe’s APA performance measurements, ensuring team alignment with prescribed goals
  • Keep teams informed of their performance, highlighting opportunities for improvement and actions taken to enhance effectiveness
  • Support team leaders in resource management to prioritize key personnel and business activities that drive performance, maintaining a high focus on these areas
  • Foster a broader team culture that enhances staff engagement, inclusion, enjoyment, and fulfillment, while managing internal relationships and modelling collaboration to resolve issues effectively.

 

About you

  • Extensive experience in Workers Compensation or Personal Injury schemes, with a strong understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements
  • Proven team management and leadership skills in developing high-performing teams and building talent pipelines to meet current and future organizational needs
  • Proficient in understanding performance metrics, business rules, and interpreting data reports to drive informed decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to larger groups and manage conflicts to timely resolution
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and motivation to foster an inclusive and high-performing culture, with strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities to manage competing demands
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
