About the role
  • Contribute to the development of Case Managers through identification of skill gaps and activation of coaching to improve technical excellence, strategic claims management and the customer experience.
  • Support the implementation of claim resolution strategies to achieve best in industry return to health and work rates which results in higher finalisation rates, lower claim durations and lower average claims costs than industry.
  • Focus on the timeliness of liability decision-making.
  • Focus on settlements/offers and estimating accuracy to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with business unit process requirements including policy and procedures, accurate estimating practices, Internal Review and Personal Injury Commission outcomes.

About you

  • CTP knowledge of relevant legislation for a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance and best practice case management standards relevant to bodily injury claims management and the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Ability to recognise, avert, manage and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes.
  • Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions taken.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
