The primary purpose of this role is to support driving the Self-Insurance unit with technical compliance knowledge and development to provide support in the delivery of capability as well as accurate, cost effective and timely claims management guidance and advice, adhering to relevant codes of conduct, legislation and regulatory requirements, and to identify relevant training needs for the team.
About the role
- Train new starters and existing team members on Self-Insurance systems (Solv, Figtree, and SIMS), and ensure correct workflows are implemented in collaboration with system providers.
- Engage with platforms to develop training materials for Allianz, attend regulatory workshops and conferences, and integrate learnings into the resource library for the Self-Insurance team
- Review new and existing claims to ensure compliance with NSW, WA, and QLD regulations for current and future clients, and assist with onboarding new clients by reviewing inherited claims for strategy and risk assessments.
- Provide technical advice and support to Case Managers, assist with decision signoffs, conduct independent reviews on compliance concerns, and monitor SIRA guidelines for team updates.
- Develop training on individualized IMPs/RTW plans, track remediation plans, and emphasize the importance of Early Intervention and best practices in Case Management.
About you
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with proficiency in Self-Insurance systems (Solv, Figtree, and SIMS) and the ability to develop and deliver training programs
- Familiar with SIRA guidelines and compliance requirements for NSW, WA, and QLD, including PIAWE and liability, with expertise in monitoring changes and ensuring adherence.
- Skilled in reviewing claims to ensure compliance and aligning claims management practices with best practices, including individualized IMPs/RTW plans
- Experienced in onboarding new clients and reviewing inherited claims for strategy, data quality, and risk assessments, with the capability to track remediation plans.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with team members and stakeholders, and adept at building and maintaining a resource library and training materials based on industry insights
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
