The primary purpose of this role is to provide quality and technical support to the Eligibility Specialist to ensure timely and accurate decision-making and governance throughout whilst also contributing appropriate technical input as required. Partner with the Eligibility Specialist and the leadership team to ensure Best Practice eligibility and dispute management are delivered.
About the role
- Provide technical support, coaching, and guidance to the Eligibility Team to enhance decision-making accuracy, capability, and compliance with legislative and Allianz standards.
- Conduct quality reviews, endorse adverse decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders, including employers, consultants, and panel lawyers, to ensure effective claims management and dispute resolution.
- Ensure timely and accurate eligibility decisions by implementing communication plans and supporting Eligibility Specialists in delivering outcomes to stakeholders.
- Deliver cost-effective, customer-focused workers' compensation claims management services while driving team and business improvement initiatives.
- Complete assigned projects and key deliverables within required standards and timeframes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and outcome drivers.
About you
- Significant experience in workers compensation claims, disputes, legal or technical specialist roles.
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Eligibility Disputes and technical processes.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation, eligibility and dispute processes.
- Proven coaching and mentoring capability with the ability to influence technical outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Well-developed planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills in a complex, regulated environment.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
