- Monitoring and supervision of the 7x24 ABS Batch Monitoring, check and rectification of faults or escalation to 3rd level.
- Implementing JCL & Batch flow as per ABS Standards.
- Acting as Shift lead and assisting Juniors with Customer communication, BAU activities and conducting training events.
- Check list processing (check for the successful completion of critical Jobs and tasks).
- Proactively working on process improvements. (Innovative Ideas)
- Efficiently handling Go-Live & Major migration process.
- Active participation in Team meetings & sharing the updates with team. (Meeting Management)
- Grooming team with effective Training sessions. (Training & Assisting Juniors)

PART 3
Duties and Responsibilities
List in order of importance and state approximate weightage accorded to each.
- Acting as shift lead - Coordinating activities, Task Delegation, Workload evaluation the & involving in decision making.
- JCL Programming and new job-flow implementation.
- Identifying the specialisation areas and exercising them.
- Guiding the Juniors and grooming them to next level via Buddy approach.
- Batch Job Monitoring & Control-M Scheduling
- Successfully monitor of batch jobs via Control-M, Micro focus, for all Test & Production Environments.
- Batch job repair – Proper diagnosis of the failure, provide first line fix for known errors or escalate to appropriate teams DEV / DBA etc..
- Control the Batch: Ability to edit, Hold, Free, Bypass, delete, force jobs and perform restarts in CONTROL-M.
- Proficient in scheduling batch jobs as per ABS standards in CONTROL-M for all environments using various scheduling methodologies.
- Identify Batch cycle interruptions: Efficient use of CONTROL-M to pull previous reports, Statistics, Log details etc., use of Calendar, Schedule, search, and forecast etc.. to identify Batch interruptions and action accordingly.
- Able to diagnosis all the production issues and job failures efficiently and follow up with respective teams for permanent fix for the recurring issues.
- Proficient in CONTROL-M schedule techniques and fix issues to reduce batch Work in a multi-national team.

Qualification, Experience, Technical and Functional Skills
- Good knowledge in Control-M Monitoring Tool
- Good JCL knowledge (Write & Update)
- Good batch process knowledge.
- Good knowledge of a Linux Commands and any scripting language.
- Experience handling tickets via SNOW and Jira
- Knowledge on AWS and Azure cloud
- Knowledge of Linux Scripting ,Bash or Python – Added advantage
- Must be a good team player
- Willing to work in 24*7 rotational shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and willing to take responsibility
- Microsoft tools : Outlook, Word, Excel (Desirable)
- Demonstrably high focus on customer service
- Eager to learn and update one’s knowledge
- Good to have excellent interpersonal /customer liaison skills
