About the Job

Property & Casualty (P&C) area in Allianz Technology plays a critical role in ensuring that the company effectively manages risks and provides valuable insurance solutions products to its customers. As the global IT service provider, we are responsible for driving the digitalization of the entire organization, which includes supporting P&C operations through comprehensive IT solutions.

Our team plays a crucial role in continuously enhancing system functionalities to meet new business needs, managing systems in production, and defining and implementing the technological roadmap for platform evolution.

In this context, we are looking for a Solution Designer with proven experience on software solutions and maintenance projects. You will contribute to both the management and continuous improvement of the current platform ("as-is") and the definition and execution of steps to evolve the platform towards our target architecture.

What you do

• Analyze and monitor live solutions, assessing performance and platform evolution to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Design and develop architectural solutions using Java technologies to support the transition from Mainframe to cloud-based environments
• Document, test and maintain code
• Utilize DevOps practices and tools to streamline development processes, ensuring continuous delivery and integration

What you bring

• Experience on designing and developing software applications, ensuring they meet both technical and functional requirements. This includes coding, debugging, and testing the software to ensure high quality and performance
• Ability to provide support and consultation during the concept phase of the application development, helping to shape the technical design and functionality of the software
• Ability to work on an Agile and cross functional team
• Knowledge of Java-based architectures, microservices, and cloud-based solutions
• Aptitude to contribute to innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration, with fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• High School Diploma or Academic Degree in IT or equivalent field with at least 3 years experience
