Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Claims Handler with a technical background in household appliances and mobile devices to join our growing claims team. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge to accurately assess, process, and resolve insurance claims related to electronic goods, ensuring high-quality service and efficient claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain communications with Customer via inbound/outbound email to ensure Customer receives status updates on the progress
  • Manage the claim process from Customer report through claim resolution
  • Answer routine questions regarding contract coverage following standard scripts and procedures
  • Assists in resolving transactional requests from customers such as payment, refunds, etc., helping to troubleshoot failures and providing
  • Receive and process reports to review and authorize claims for customer
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks/ initiatives as assigned by the Company
  • Communicate with Customer and OEM according to company and department policies, procedures, and processes in a professional and courteous manner according to department call handling
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks/ initiatives as assigned by the Company

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as technical support specialist in the insurance, electronics, or appliance repair sector.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) and/or household appliances (e.g., washers, refrigerators, ovens).
  • Strong understanding of typical faults, diagnostics, and repair procedures for common consumer electronics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Proficient with claim management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus.
