Allianz Commercial is seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to join our Global Cyber Center of Competency as the Global Lead for Cyber Strategic Partnerships and Innovation.

The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Global Head of Financial Lines and Cyber, the Global Lead for Cyber Strategic Partnerships and Innovation will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our global cyber business strategy, fostering innovation, and managing key partnerships to ensure Allianz remains at the forefront of cyber insurance.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Serving as the primary contact for strategic partnerships worldwide, providing guidance on cyber business strategy and implementation.

Driving global cyber underwriting innovation and portfolio performance for the Center of Competency (CoC).

Reviewing, negotiatong, and recommending approval of strategic partnership cyber insurance policy wordings, endorsements, and clauses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Leading or contributing to the development and enhancement of cyber insurance products with strategic partners.

Advising product development teams on coverage structures and contractual interpretations.

Supporting claims and legal teams in interpreting policy wording disputes.

Monitoring market trends, case law, and regulatory developments impacting cyber risk coverage and wordings.

Providing internal training and guidance on cyber policy language and risk issues.

Managing communication, data exchange, and reporting between the CoC and strategic partners, establishing regular best practice exchanges.

Updating Allianz Commercial key stakeholders and Board Members on strategic partner performance and milestones.

Building and maintaining a strong cyber expert network across Allianz Group functions.
What You’ll Bring to the Role

Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in cyber insurance policy wording or legal advisory within the cyber insurance sector.

Law degree essential, with specific experience in insurance law or as legal counsel within the cyber insurance class.

Additional certifications in insurance law or cyber risk management are a plus.

Proven track record in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing cyber and technology insurance wordings and products.

Experience managing and developing a broad range of partnerships (alliances, joint ventures, channel partnerships, client relationships).

Previous experience providing legal support to clients during cyber events and data breaches.

Strong ability to draft and interpret complex insurance contracts and translate emerging cyber threats into contractual language.

Skilled in policy negotiation and wording discussions with key stakeholders.

High level of legal and technical writing proficiency, attention to detail, and analytical ability.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; commercially minded.

Experience working with brokers, insurers, reinsurers, and clients on bespoke and standard market wordings.

Experience supporting dispute resolution or claims teams in interpreting coverage.
-
Excellent networking skills, comfortable working internationally and at varying levels of seniority.

Experience operating in a global matrix organization and working with diverse, geographically dispersed teams.

A deep knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), with the ability to leverage AI-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and drive innovation across the organization.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $139,776 - $211,200 CAD. The annual base salary range represents a market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
