Objectives of the job
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Quality Assurance to spearhead our Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) division in India. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on bridging the gap between technical delivery and business value. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products don't just 'work' according to specs, but truly solve user problems and meet commercial objectives. As the head of BAT, you will lead a large-scale organization, defining the strategy for end-to-end business validation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and operational readiness across our global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for Business Acceptance Testing that aligns with global business goals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end BAT lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination between Product, Engineering, and Business Stakeholders.
- Team Scaling & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of QA Managers, Test Leads, and Business Analysts across multiple India hubs.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for C-suite executives and Product owners to provide go/no-go recommendations based on business risk assessments.
- Innovation & Automation: Shift BAT from manual validation to a 'Business-Process-as-Code' approach, leveraging automation to accelerate feedback loops.
- Quality Governance: Establish KPIs and metrics that measure the effectiveness of testing in terms of business outcomes, user satisfaction, and post-release stability.

Experience |
20+ years in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or VP level). |

Domain Expertise |
Deep understanding of Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), UAT, and End-to-End (E2E) business process validation. |

Education |
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. |
|
Leadership |
Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ members in a GCC (Global Capability Center) or offshore-onshore model. |
|
Methodologies |
Expert knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and 'Shift-Right' testing strategies. |
Preferred Skills
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical defects into business impact and risk profiles.
- Change Management: Experience leading organizational transformations, such as moving from traditional QA to a Quality Engineering mindset.
- Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise-level test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM) and business process automation tools.
- Communication: Exceptional executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
