Senior Contract Management Lead (CML) – Job Description (JD)
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of professional experience in Contract Management, Vendor Management, Procurement or Contract Governance.
- Experience working with external service providers in regulated, performance-driven environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related field.
- World Commerce & Contracting certified professional is a plus.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, ServiceNow or CLM tools is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Extensive experience in contract management, contract governance, contract changes (i.e., drafting change requests, amendments, evolution forms etc.) using appropriate terminology, compliance and monitoring & control activities.
- Strong legal skills to be able to provide solution-oriented legal advice considering the business and contractual requirements.
- Strong knowledge of European rules and regulations impacting outsourcing and service contracts.
- Advanced financial and analytical skills, including invoice validation and cost control.
- Proven capability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder contractual environments.
- Ability to identify AI use cases and steer AI implementation initiatives in contract management function.
- Excellent communication, team player and senior stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Governance & Compliance
- Ensure full alignment between MSA, LSA and SOF in collaboration with service providers and Operating Entities.
- Review contractual deviations and coordinate formal approval with AZ Services Legal, Procurement and AFS leadership.
Change, Risk & Audit Management
- Lead end-to-end contract change management processes including assessment, documentation, approval and implementation.
- Proactively identify contractual, regulatory and operational risks associated with outsourced services.
Financial & Performance Management
- Validate OE invoices against approved scope, pricing and commercial terms defined in LSA and SOF.
- Perform contract-related financial tracking, cost controlling and benchmarking activities.
Stakeholder & Provider Management
- Act as primary contract interface for service providers and OE SPOS and OE sr. management.
- Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders including COO, CFO, Legal and Procurement.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and assess opportunities for automation, AI and digital solutions within the contract management lifecycle.
- Steer AI implementation initiatives in collaboration with service providers to enhance efficiency, compliance and insight generation.
