Expert Finance Automation Solutions in Group Accounting (m/f/d) at Allianz SE

Who will you join?

 
The Accounting Hub as part of Group Accounting and Reporting in H2 is a central provider of accounting functions for Allianz entities in Germany and worldwide. We provide a wide range of financial services and are a center of competence for investment accounting, subledger accounting, closing & reporting for insurance and non-insurance entities and the maintenance and development of our financial systems.
The team Projects & Governance is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of finance automation solutions in SAP with cooperation with external provider for a number of different OEs.
The position plays a key role in ensuring that finance requirements are understood and translated into successful technology solutions. You will work in both operational business support and project environments to adapt existing finance solutions or define new solutions.       
 

How can you make an impact?

You will:

• Define, drive and deliver finance automation solutions in collaboration with all stakeholders (business, IT and service provider)
• Define and develop new automations for closing/ accounting processes in relevant ERP systems of the OEs under team responsibility and analyze and ensure resolution of errors or issues during the closing
• Provide First Level Support regarding issues, challenges and new requirements for automated processes, this means the analysis of complex issues, especially in cross-module and cross-system scenarios and define long-term, sustainable solutions and short-term fixes
• Participate in projects that represent the team’s area of expertise and develop sufficient expertise to lead project streams in relevant areas
• Support the establishment of appropriate OE operational processes 

 
What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, finance or management (MSc preferred)
• Practical experience in handling automation tools for finance processes in a SAP Accounting system (S/4 Hana preferred)
• Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distil key issues and provide insight in various situations
• Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)
• High-level finance and insurance know-how as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting
• Experience in programming languages, preferably Java/ Python
• Written and oral language skills in English 
• Good self-organizing skills, proactive and flexible attitude
• Team Player
• Willingness to learn new technologies proactively    

Preferred Qualifications

• First experience with SimpliFi Group Initiative a plus 
• First experience with SAP Accounting system is a plus (S/4 Hana preferred)
• Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
• Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
• German would be a plus
