Department Description & Job Purpose 

 

Are you passionate about digital transformation and eager to apply your analytical skills in a real-world setting? Join our Productivity Solutions and Innovation (PS&I) Global Service Line as a Working Student, where you’ll support initiatives focused on process analytics, task and process mining, and the discovery of AI and automation opportunities. In this role, you’ll help analyze operational processes using leading process mining tools, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that unlock measurable productivity gains. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants and data experts, gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies and strategic problem-solving across global business functions. Key responsibilities

 
•    Analyze business processes using task and process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, Skan AI) to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
•    Support the discovery and evaluation of AI and automation use cases based on process insights
•    Collaborate with consultants and data experts to develop solution concepts and lightweight prototypes
•    Prepare clear, data-driven visualizations and summaries for stakeholder communication
•    Contribute to the internal development and refinement of service offerings, frameworks, and best practices
•    Assist in coordinating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and internal knowledge-sharing activities

 

Key requirements

 
•    Enrollment in a German University (for working student positions) or (for an internship) in a gap year. Student status throughout the duration of the contract. 
•    Ongoing studies in business informatics, data science, computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field
•    Strong analytical mindset with an interest in process optimization, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies
•    Basic understanding of task and process mining concepts and tools (e.g., Celonis, Skan AI) or a willingness to quickly learn them
•    Initial experience with data analysis (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) and interest in AI or automation technologies
•    Proactive and structured working style with the ability to communicate clearly in English 
•    Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with global stakeholders
•    Proficiency in German
