About the Job
This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional event management and visitor experience design within Allianz Technology's R&D Center Europe, located in Munich. As an intern, you will directly support the Experience & Event Expert in planning, coordinating, and executing events that showcase innovation and create memorable experiences for diverse stakeholders.
This internship is ideal for students passionate about event management, communications, and creating exceptional visitor experiences. You'll gain practical exposure to all aspects of event coordination—from guest management and logistics to content creation and stakeholder engagement—while working in a dynamic innovation environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to real events, interact with diverse audiences, and develop professional skills in event management and communications.
What you do
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing R&D Center events, including workshops, tours, and stakeholder meetings, while managing logistics such as venue setup, equipment, and catering
- Support guest and access management by handling RSVPs, registration processes, visitor badges, and ensuring a positive arrival experience for attendees
- Help create event materials like invitations, agendas, presentations, and promotional content, while supporting internal communications and social media efforts
- Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, managing schedules, requirements, quotes, deliverables, and invoices to ensure smooth collaboration
- Ensure all event materials align with Allianz branding guidelines, create marketing content to promote events, and measure success through feedback and reporting
- Provide administrative support by maintaining event files, tracking budgets, managing supplies, and developing planning templates and best practices
- Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and assist with post-event activities like feedback collection and thank-you communications
What you bring
- Currently enrolled in a degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, with strong academic performance in relevant coursework
- Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with digital tools and social media platforms, and basic knowledge of AI technologies and their practical use; graphic design skills are a plus
- Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a genuine interest in event management, visitor experiences, and creating positive guest interactions
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently, and adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or customer service (internships, student events, or community activities) is a plus, along with interest in technology and innovation
- Willingness to work predominantly on-site at the Allianz Campus in Unterföhring, with a commitment to global collaboration and alignment across R&D Center locations
- Multilingual capabilities (especially German and English), photography/videography skills, and familiarity with event management software are advantageous but not required
You can start immediately and are interested in an internship (38 h/week) for a period of ideally 6 months or longer.
