Role overview
The Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in defining and implementing the technology strategy and architecture for Allianz Services. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in enterprise architecture, technology and a strong understanding of the insurance industry. The Enterprise Architect will directly report to our Global CIO and collaborate with various stakeholders across locations to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions, driving outcomes.
In this role you will be working within the Allianz Services Retained IT organization, contributing to the IT strategy of Allianz Services embarking on a new journey as an independent OE. The position offers an excellent platform to get broad exposure to different lines of business, and to work with an OE with one of the highest AES score in the group.
What you do:
- Working with Business and IT, develop a strategic vision for IT landscape for Allianz Services, which enables and accelerates business transformation and innovation.
- Design and implement enterprise architecture framework, principles and strategies that align with Allianz Services’s business goals
- Evaluate emerging technologies, not limited to automation and AI for their applicability and potential impact on business operations.
- Run the IT Architecture Board for Az Services ensuring adherence to defined architecture models, standards, and guidelines.
- Define technology roadmaps and ensure alignment with business strategies
- Represent Allianz Services in Group Architecture bodies
- Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions
- Drive the development and execution of the IT landscape roadmap, with a strategic horizon of 2 and 5 years.
What you bring:
- Deep knowledge and experience as an Enterprise Architect in a global organization, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Outcome based thinking, Lead by example, ability to lead cross functional teams to achieve outcomes.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering large-scale IT projects
- Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Broad Technical Knowledge in Cloud, Data Centre, workplace and network technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with insurance-specific technologies and platforms
- Experience in EA documentation standards and tools (e.g. ADOIT)
- Understanding of infrastructure, including cloud services and virtualization technologies
- Highly motivated, dynamic, and self-driven individual
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and handling ad-hoc requests
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Solid interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with peers and other departments, and the ability to motivate and influence key stakeholders to drive change.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus
